But I couldn’t find one for sale (not surprising, TBH). However, I did find these interesting old Nissans for sale, from back in the day when they made interesting vehicles and weren’t just a manufacturer of rental lot filler:

I’m sure I can’t afford either, but do you have a link for the Patrol and the van?

I just did a search on Auto tempest for pre-1985 Nissan vehicles:

My first car was a 1985 manual Sentra wagon. It was the car I learnt how to drive in. It was my many firsts car. My favorite part of it at the time was the little lever in the center arm rest/console that would open the rear window.

I don’t think I ever sat in the front of one of these, and I have no idea how they drive. My only connection with them was on family vacations to Hawaii - we always seemed to end up with one. There was one time that my dad got a free ‘upgrade’ to a Pontiac Grand Prix. When he pulled up in that thing we all bust out laughing. In addition, despite being a much bigger car than the Sentra we couldn’t get all of our luggage in it. He took it back and we got another Sentra - vacation saved.
My first car was a ‘77 Dasher wagon. I’ve always liked simple and practical vehicles, and like the Sentra for the no-nonsense practicality. My third car was a VW Vanagon, then a Rabbit Pickup. I then had a series of German luxury sedans and sports cars, but now I’m back in my element driving a little Mazda5 6MT minivan and couldn’t be happier. I don’t really need a Sentra, but was just curious to see if any survived. Sadly, because it’s a basic and cheap vehicle, most were ridden hard and put away wet, and they’re now practically extinct.

They’re the domestic fleet trash. Nissan is the ‘import’ fleet trash specialist...
